Access information from the Tertiary Education Commission about how to apply for pilot training funding provision in 2012. The New Zealand Diplomas in Aviation Aeroplane and Helicopter , Levels 5 and 6, were developed by ServiceIQ in close conjunction with the aviation industry and education authorities. In ServiceIQ ATTO began working with the aviation sector to identify the ongoing training and workforce development needs of New Zealand’s aviation sector. ServiceIQ has been working closely with the aviation industry and education authorities to introduce a national standard for pilot training in New Zealand, through the development of two New Zealand Diplomas in Aviation Aeroplane and Helicopter . ServiceIQ has been working throughout this process in consultation with a project Steering Group, made up of members from the Aviation Industry Association AIA , the Royal New Zealand Airforce RNZAF , Air New Zealand, Civil Aviation Authority CAA and other aviation industry stakeholders.
The Career Maps and Pathways project aims to assist these industries in attracting and retaining skilled people by providing a comprehensive database of all of the qualifications and training providers across the sectors and then linking these to job roles. Employers can profile their businesses as workplaces that offer on job training aligned through ServiceIQ. We facilitate the work based training of people across all of these sectors, by working closely with the industry, employers, trainers and trainees. As well as helping promote industry training and employment for M ori across our sectors, we work closely with M ori businesses particularly in tourism to help them build their organisations through investment in people.
Our National Certificate in Tourism M ori Level 3 is designed to deliver on the unique training needs of M ori tourism businesses, helping trainees gain an understanding of the values that underpin M ori tourism, tikanga M ori practices, basic te reo used in tourism, cross cultural communication, and foundation skills for those working in the visitor services industry. Our Cultural Awareness and Development Manager helps oversee the delivery of our M ori strategy, build relationships with M ori stakeholders, and ensure ServiceIQ has the internal capability to deliver on our M ori objectives. The Gateway Programme opened up all the opportunities there are to work in the Aviation sector. Any secondary school student who is currently taking part in a Tourism, Travel, Service Sector or Aviation Gateway programme. Any secondary school or tertiary institute student who studies aviation, tourism, travel or museums. Sector Training Councils are made up of representatives from workplaces employers and industry associations.
They help guide what qualifications will be developed, the training standards for their industries and sector skills development strategies. IAGs are made up of representatives from the industry and training providers who have significant experience in the field relevant to the qualification being developed
