Established in 1979 and owned and governed by our members, GS1 NZ enables over 5,00 members from businesses of all sizes across 15 industry sectors to enhance their efficiency and cost effectiveness by adopting GS1 global supply chain best practices including barcode and numbering standards, services and solutions.
GS1 NZ is at the forefront of eCommerce and supply chain management initiatives, helping New Zealand businesses to adopt the world’s best practice supply chain management techniques and streamline their processes to enable fast, efficient and accurate flow of information between trading partners through automation. SCAN is our specialist supply chain magazine produced twice yearly with news on GS1 System developments and feature articles on GS1 New Zealand members. Cameron studied engineering and management at the University of Canterbury, and after graduation worked for Wellington design and manufacturing company Interlock for two years. Auckland based Barry will continue managing the Images in Space service, while also working with the GS1 Management team to integrate that service with those of GS1. A graduate of Massey and Victoria universities Owen also holds the British Institute of Logistics and Transport Diploma in Logistics.
He joined GS1 in January 1995 and has held a variety of member services roles and technical appointments within the organisation. Maju has a degree in Engineering, an MBA focused on Marketing Systems Management and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management Systems focused on supply chain e commerce. Close Hayden has joined GS1 New Zealand as an Implementation Analyst in Auckland. He completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in supply chain management at the University of Canterbury in 2014.
She is a Victoria University graduate with a Bachelor of Commerce and istration, majoring in Information Systems and Management. A in photography from the Elam School of Fine Arts at Auckland University and continues to work on a variety of personal creative projects in her spare time. She is a graduate from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Arts in Japanese and Chinese and also gained a Diploma in Interpreting and Translation Studies from Auckland University of Technology. Close Colin joined the GS1 NZ Board in 1996 and has been Chairman since 2002.
Close Peter has been CIO of Foodstuffs Auckland, then Foodstuffs North Island, since 2012. Close Mark is the IT manager for ANZCO foods, a leading New Zealand meat processing and marketing company with particular expertise in the Japanese market. She has previously held Supply Chain roles which have involved the implementation of GS1 standards in areas such as warehouse management systems. Michael joined Zuellig Distribution re named HCL in 200 and had helped it grow into the market leading pharmaceutical distribution business 3PL and 4PL in NZ. Nominated to the Board by the Director General of Health, Stephen is looking forward to extending the collaboration the NZ healthcare sector has with GS1 and the use of GS1’s standards for identification, automatic data capture, quality initiatives and procurement.
