Body Beautiful tribute concert, including the performance and recording of Jack Body’s works at the New Zealand School of Music. Eight concert international tour to North America including performances at five festivals in Canada. the Complete String Quartets cycle a three series tour to 20 centres in partnership with Chamber Music New Zealand and the New Zealand International Festival of the Arts, including live streaming all six programmes to audiences around the world. Nine concert tour of UK summer music festivals including two concerts at the City of London Festival.
New Zealand String Quartet established under the auspices of the Music Federation of New Zealand later to become Chamber Music New Zealand . Our repertoire includes a number of works by New Zealand composers and also collaborations with other artists. The Quartet is committed to the development of young musicians and composers through its work as Quartet in Residence at the New Zealand School of Music at Victoria University, where three of the members are Associate Professors. They also enjoy giving master classes worldwide and run the annual Adam Summer School for Chamber Music in Nelson, as well as a chamber music course for secondary school students each year at Queen’s Birthday weekend. The Adam Summer School acknowledges the following groups and individuals who have generously donated part or full scholarships . Following my studies in Singapore I won a position as a violinist in the Hyogo Performing Arts Centre Orchestra.

After working professionally in London for three years she returned to New Zealand to become a founding member of the New Zealand String Quartet in 1987. In 2001 she became Artistic Director, with fellow quartet member Helene Pohl, of the Adam New Zealand Chamber Music Festival. You were a member of the very first New Zealand String Quartet when it was formed in 1987. The Quartet is committed to the development of young musicians and composers through its work as Quartet in Residence at the New Zealand School of Music at Victoria University, where three of the members are Associate Professors.

Some historical highlights of the Quartet’s career, from its beginning in 1987 till the present day. Two tours for Chamber Music NZ, including giving the premiere performances of Ross Harris’s Piano Quintet with Stephen de Pledge. Concert tour of UK North America, including performances at the Cheltenham Festival, the City of London Festival, Festival Lachine, Waterside Festival Amherst Island , Festival of the Sound Ontario and the Monadnock Festival. NZ Festival performance of Tales from the Forbidden City, a collaborative project with the Forbidden City Chamber Orchestra Beijing, followed by Chamber Music NZ tour of Tales from the Forbidden City to three national centres. Eight concert international tour to North America including performances at five festivals in Canada.

Performed concerts at the New Zealand Festival of the Arts in Wellington, featuring works by Barber, Shostakovich, Harris and a collaboration with New Zealand baritone Jonathan Lemalu premiering a new Gao Ping work. Residencies in Australia at the International Chamber Music Festival, Canberra and Crossbows Festival, Brisbane. Celebrated the New Zealand String Quartet’s 25th Anniversary with an event at New Zealand’s Parliament House.
