What you should know about Pump Dance Studios
The company specializes in hip hop, jazz, ballet and contemporary dance by providing classes, performances and workshops throughout the country. With Pump Dance crews performing and teaching in Wellington schools, plus weekly classes for all ages and abilities at various locations throughout the city, there is something for everyone. The team at Pump Dance Studios is comprised of experienced and motivated dancers, all of whom are dedicated to improving not only their students but their own skills as well. Director and founder, Libby Calder, has been teaching hip hop dance for 15 years.
Today there are over 500 students, 20 competitive teams and 24 dance instructors, all of whom are involved in competitions and performances throughout New Zealand. As well as teaching dance full time, Libby currently coaches advanced hip hop crews, many of which have won National and International titles. Libby is also a co founder and the coach of Infinite Dance Crew, an all female dance team that has won gold at the NZ National Hip Hop Unite competition in and 2o13
