RACS is the leading advocate for surgical standards, professionalism and surgical education in Australia and New Zealand. supporting all Fellows, Trainees and IMGs to complete the e learning module. supporting surgical educators to do the Foundation Skills for Surgical Educators FSSE course. The surgical skills workshops are an opportunity for junior doctors, surgical trainees, registrars and residents to focus on core surgical skills in an interactive setting with direct teaching and supervision from surgeons.
Trainees also have the opportunity to present their scientific work as part of the research component of their training. Accreditation is given by the Australian Medical Council to RACS and standards for education and training are established by RACS.
