Travel came late to me but I was soon converted and over the years I've managed to take off three separate years to explore the world.
One of my philosophies has been if you hear music seek it out’ as a result I’ve wandered into all manner of festivals and events in the most unlikely of places. I’ve travelled extensively in Asia and feel honoured to have experienced much of the Middle East before the current troubles contrary to what you see on the news, the people we met are by far the most hospitable we’ve ever come across. Next trip We’re currently planning a trip back to Vietnam, this time with children so a whole new type of experience. I’ve loved travelling ever since I worked my way around the world on cruise ships in my early 20s. There’s such a variety of scenery, incredible food, and there’s a vibrant culture with welcoming locals.
I can’t wait to try proper’ Mexican cuisine, see the ancient Mayan ruins, snorkel in the Cenotes and just amble around the small villages. Vietnam, Tibet, Italy, Tanzania to name a few I love the people, food, culture and of course the Wildlife in Tanzania. Travelling has been a part of my life for about 20 years and whilst living working in South Africa, the United States, the UK and now New Zealand I have had amazing opportunities to visit some remote and exciting destinations. There is nowhere in the world like it and I feel privileged to have explored such a remarkable place.
I also believe that no two trips to Africa are the same and there is something very special about a place that you can’t quite describe to someone you just have to feel it for yourself!. Favourite destination After visiting Indonesia, The Cook Islands and many places throughout Australia, I can say that so far Bali has been my favourite destination. I thoroughly enjoyed the friendly culture of the locals and the absolute different atmosphere that I am used to here I'm New Zealand. At Adventure Travel we’re not just about travel, we’re about creating extraordinary experiences.
The entire holiday was much more enjoyable because of all the hard work done before we’d even left New Zealand. A close family member died the day before we were due to fly to Italy, we therefore needed to delay our trip at very short notice. Tim Cox and Adventure Travel could not have done more to assist us including finding the best deals in accommodation. Major highlights were the Hotel Paris in Florence gorgeous room and walking distance to everything and visiting Hadrian’s Villa and Villa D’Este outside Rome.
