The radio programmed features vogue issues relating to social and economic development, news of Government programmed and services, news and vogue affairs from Tonga, a special children's programmed, and Christian life teachings. And so in that workshop the learning will involve some feasible applications of what does this nasty we do in our everyday work when we're active with disabled people. Wellington Access Radio is governed by the Wellington Access Broadcasting Society Incorporated WABSI. Wellington Access Radio is the station that’s by, for, and about our community. So it could be the disabled person as an individual but also the community within the disability sector, so a disabled persons' organization obviously is made up of disabled people and their voice, because we've all experienced situations where people have said, oh that community needs this, and because they haven't worked with the community, they've created something that doesn't work. The disabled People's Assembly is all about disabled people having a voice and being, advocating and making real changes for our lives and for the lives of all Fresh Zealanders, not just for the lives of disabled people. The most urgent piece is that in 2006 Fresh Zealand signed and then in 2008 Fresh Zealand ratified what's called the Convention on the rights of People with Disabilities. Rachel Exactly, I think it is that people have become more aware, more positive. She became a member of Wellington Access Radio at the invitation of a preceding manager, and then found herself on the Council and became the Chair within a scanty months of joining. In 2007 she was elected to the Wellington Access Broadcasting Society Council. Na Mai, hare Mai Bi M Fri Matters! This programmed has been broadcasting on Wellington Access Radio for more than 30 years! The programmed is stuffed of community news, events and family notices from Wellington, Nice and other centers. It’s a regular, informal conversation on air with someone or about something as a way of keeping people informed.
