What you should know about L.O.D Dance Studios
All our teachers strive to instil confidence a love of dance in all their students. This was a hugely valuable experience, gaining some excellent insights into current best teaching practises. After being accepted into full time training at the New Zealand School of Dance, she decided to complete her RAD Certificate in Ballet Training Studies become a qualified ballet teacher. Natalie strives to be a consistently motivated and passionate teacher, developing in her students a motivation and love of dance that, with the right nurturing will continue to grow.
Natalie is also a mentor to other dance teacher trainees recent teacher graduates. While teaching and dancing at the studio since 2010, Bethany also completed her Diploma in Musical Theatre and her Bachelor of Applied Arts, Performing Arts, majoring in Commercial Dance. Bethany is currently in her second year of her Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies and is also studying for her Intermediate Jazz Teachers’ Certificate this year. She has completed her AJDA examinations in both tap and jazz, concluding with her tap performance certificate in 2011, and jazz performance certificate in 2012.
While dancing as a teenager at Jazz Unlimted in Hamilton, she took the opportunity to teach AJDA tap and jazz at age 17 and realised this was where her passion for dancing lay. Fiona trained as a dancer from the age of nine, in ballet, jazz, modern and contemporary. After graduation, she went on to danced professionally in Australia, Japan and the United States. This past year Fiona has completed her her Professional Dancers Postgraduate Teaching Certificate through the Royal Academy of Dance. Over the years she has completed her RAD ballet examinations and most recently achieved her solo seal in ADJA in 2012.
During the course of the last six years Milvia has developed a real passion for teaching both ballet and jazz. Marina Jazz Tap Natalie Ballet Contemporary . We feel these two elements combined really give the students a sense of all the facets of dancing, and offer a positive environment in which the students can develop their Love of Dance. As well as our main Newtown studios we also have junior level classes in Hataitai at the bowling club. Marina Jazz Tap Natalie Ballet Contemporary . Graduate of Whitireia Dance Performance Centre in Wellington, majoring in commercial dance . This ensures students can explore what they are truly passionate about, letting students become confident, and self motivated learners.
These are one hour combo class that includes jazz, tap, hip hop, singing, music and are a whole lot of FUN for girls and boys. School age children can begin RAD Ballet or AJDA Jazz classes, and Beginner Contemporary Tap classes run for 7 8 year olds. Marina Jazz Tap Natalie Ballet Contemporary
