The firm started in 1982 as Brennan Plumbing and later changed its name to Southern Plumbing Gasfitting Ltd. Almost immediately, our Master Plumbers Gasfitters started training apprentices as there were few skilled plumbers available. Although the company started in the contracting sector of the industry we now concentrate solely on the service area. This involves gearing the firm to do thousands of small jobs, some of a highly technical nature.
A specialty is our gas servicing area and emergency response which the landlords and property managers enjoy. The company has expanded into most of the other building maintenance areas including Eco plumbing, carpentry, roofing, electrical, painting and decoration. We were one of the first computerised plumbing firms in New Zealand and have a data base of 26,00 clients, one of largest plumbing client lists in New Zealand! And its not just the size of it, it’s also who our clients are. In a number of cases we have worked at the same address for several owners and can tell you the plumbing history over the many years we have serviced the property. We have been members of the Master Plumber Organisation for around 25 years and choose to continue to be a part of the community because we uphold similar values as the Master Plumbers, such as producing a high quality of work.
